Extron has recently introduced the SM 28 SpeedMount speaker, which is a 2-way speaker with an 8″ woofer and an innovative patent-pending wall mounting system. It delivers accurate voice and detailed music reproduction with a frequency range from 59 Hz to 22 kHz. Its exclusive mounting system is designed to accommodate division-of-labor during installations and save costs. You can simply slide the speaker into the mount as the speaker is automatically connected to the wiring contacts and can be locked into place with a unique key to prevent theft. Two versions are available — an 8 ohm model for direct operation, and an SM 28T version which can operate in 8 ohm direct as well as 70/100 volt modes.

Invisible speaker mounting simplifies and speeds up the installation:
Step 1 : Directly pull the speaker wire from the back box
Step 2 : Attach plate to wall or stud, and connect the speaker wire to contacts on the plate
Step 3 : With the unique key, the speaker will be locked onto the plate
